Give a decent group of people a set of cruel laws, and they will ultimately lead a decent life.
Give a cruel group of people a set of decent laws, and they will invariably lead a cruel life.
Laws, governments, systems, markets…in truth, the success of any society comes down to the character of its people. If our community has a strong sense of brotherhood, we will be sure to govern ourselves well. We cannot fail, because this is our family. We cannot help but listen to each other, and foster patience, and try for the welfare our kith. We compel ourselves to sacrifice, and we share without thinking that we are giving anything away, because we feel benefitted by the happiness of our brother. And…..we make mistakes yes, and we suffer. But we also collectively apologise, then learn, in the course of our journey together, to forgive. And it is no difficult task for us, because we consider the wanton neglect of even one of our kin worse than death; worse than hell. Such is the nature of our love for one another. There will be no such thing as a coward in our clans, for our smiling faces are encouragement enough.
This described is not a family based on blood ties (I have seen even relatives murder one another and sell each other out); this is a family based on a sacred, spiritual bond. This is a family whose love for one another supersedes names and cousinage… It is a family of undeniably true, and best friendship. Its members are those who know their hearts, and not a mind or word could bend their meaning to one another because their brotherhood is sealed, and founded upon a certain Trust that transcends the reason of the greatest logician. Our ties are invisible, and made of light. It is, when experienced, sweeter than the nectars of gods, and more appealing than death or immortality. It is, in essence, a living round table, an unbroken hoop. It is our Golden Age, born of character, buried in hope.
So, cultivate brotherhood- and sisterhood (though there ought be no spiritual difference)!! This is how we will reclaim.
What we do- all that we do- we do for each other. For love! This is our “civilisation”. This is our sovereignty.
